What this website actually does with data about you.
Who is responsible
Aktarr Kommunikation AB, company registration 559338-0313, is the controller for the processing of personal data on this website. Contact us at [email protected]. This policy covers visits to aktarr.se — not our editorial work.
Data we receive
We receive data in these cases:
- An account, if you create one: username, email address and password.
- The newsletter, if you subscribe: your email address and where you signed up.
- The contact form: your name, email address and message. It is stored so an editor can reply.
- Reads, likes and saves: the article id and your IP address, passed on internally to rate-limit requests.
The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which therefore receives your request including your IP address.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics on the public site aktarr.se, not in our test environments. We see which pages are read, your approximate location and what kind of device you use — to understand what is read and to improve the site. Measurement loads before you choose. Without your consent no analytics cookies are set, but limited cookieless signals still reach Google — both before you choose and if you refuse.
Detailed event data is deleted after 2 months. Data tied to an individual user is kept for 14 months from that person's most recent activity, and the period restarts on a new visit — so if you keep reading, the data can remain for longer than 14 months. Aggregated statistics are not affected by those settings.

Google signals is switched on for us, as is more granular location and device collection. If you have consented and are signed in to a Google account with ad personalisation enabled, Google can associate your visit here with information from that account — so this is not merely anonymous counting. You can review and delete that activity in Google My Activity.
Advertising and your choices
Some ads we deliver ourselves, from our own content system and without any request to an ad server. They appear whatever you choose.
This website uses Google Ad Manager to show ads. When an ad is fetched, information about the page you are on, your device and your IP address, together with your consent choices, is sent to Google and to the providers selected in the consent dialogue. It is used to deliver and measure ads and — where you have consented — for personalised ads. Which providers those are, and for which purposes, is shown in the consent dialogue.
If you refuse, no ad requests are sent to Google. Ads we deliver ourselves still appear. You can change your choice at any time under Cookie preferences further down this page.
